Mobile Medical Unit

The Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) is NCHC’s medical unit on wheels. It provides access to quality health care for men, women and children (age 3 and up)  and pediatric dental care to our youngest patients (age 6 months and up) who might otherwise go without.

Our MMU is staffed by a team of experienced health care professionals, with all of the resources of NCHC behind us and available to our MMU patients.

Mobile Medical Unit Health and Services include:

  • Treatment of injury and illness for adults and children age 3 and up
  • Chronic disease management such as diabetes, hypertension, emphysema etc.
  • Physical examinations and checkups
  • Gynecological care
  • Preventive care and cancer screenings
  • Immunizations and flu vaccinations
  • Dental care
  • Counseling, addiction treatment and individual therapy, as well as other behavior health referrals.
  • Care coordination and case management
  • Prescriptions and bloodwork

New Mobile Medical Unit Patients

Before you see your NCHC care team, you will need to register with us. Please call us or stop by the MMU for forms to complete. We welcome all patients, regardless of ability to pay. If you do not have health insurance, we will work with you to determine your affordable discount payment. NCHC’s MMU provides open access/same day appointments Monday - Friday
