Director of Human Resources

The Director of Human Resources will oversee and advance all Norwalk Community Health Center (NCHC) HR functions. The ideal candidate will ensure the conduct within the FQHC meets standards and expectations while managing and evaluating risk; regularly developing and revising policies/procedures as necessary for organizational compliance.

The Executive Assistant will provide discreet and confidential executive administrative assistance to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO); while providing support to the NCHC executive team and management staff.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) works directly with both the medical providers and patients of Norwalk Community Health Center by providing direct interventions and psycho-education to patients referred for services. The LCSW provides behavioral health interventions through short-term, solution-focused interactions reflective of empowerment, both toward the patient and/or family, encouraging them to resume or regain management of their health and well-being.

Medical Assistant

Norwalk Community Health Center (NCHC) seeks a Medical Assistant who has graduated from an accredited medical assisting program and has at least two years experience working in an outpatient primary care setting.

The hours for this position are Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; with rotating evenings until 8 pm and some Saturdays from 8:00 am - 12 noon.

The Medical Assistant is part of the team concept in the NCHC health delivery system, which is devoted to the delivery of high quality, comprehensive primary health care to the people of the City of Norwalk and the surrounding towns regardless of the ability or inability to pay. Assist the Licensed Independent Practitioners (LIPs) in performing their duties and carrying on the necessary functions required by established policies and procedures.

Medical Billing Specialist

Medical Billing Specialist is responsible for handling all types of insurance claims, including private, Medicare and Medicaid. They are responsible for both patient and insurance collections and making sure claims are processed in a timely manner so that the organization is properly reimbursed for services provided. This includes working on follow-ups, denials, and refunds.

Patient Service Associates (PSA)

Patient Service Associates (PSA) provide support throughout the FQHC, including phone and administrative coverage in multiple department(s). The PSA works with clinical teams (i.e., Providers, MA’s and nurses) in addressing patient needs within the organization.

This position provides valuable experience to the qualifying candidate, gaining key knowledge of healthcare administration and operations.
