Free Positivity Celebration Art Reception

Local artists, Norwalk Community Health Center celebrate the power of positivity

[NORWALK, CT – September 22, 2021] Fairfield County Artists and Norwalk Community Health Center (NCHC) are hosting a Positivity Celebration. The public is invited to an art reception that showcases local artists working in a variety of media. The Positivity Celebration happens on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 6 pm to 8 pm at the health center’s flagship site at 120 Connecticut Avenue in Norwalk. The reception is free. Art purchases support local artists and Norwalk Community Health Center’s farmers market and wellness programs.

The theme of positivity reflects the uplifting power of the arts to heal and inspire and the health center’s focus on patient, family, and community wellbeing.

Positivity Celebration art on display includes paintings, mixed media, and sculpture. The pieces in the exhibit work represent a variety of forms including watercolor, oil, acrylic, monoprint, composite, mixed media and papier-mache.

Fairfield County Art Association, www.fairfieldcountyartists.com, focuses on inspiring visual art excellence on a personal and a professional level. It arranges art shows and receptions, inspiring art lectures, demonstrations, and artist socials.

Norwalk Community Health Center, an independent nonprofit healthcare provider, began in 1999 as a safety net for greater Norwalk residents who were uninsured, underinsured or otherwise unable to find health care within reach. Over the last 21 years however, it has also evolved into a continuity of care organization and provider of choice for pediatric, women’s, adult, behavioral and adult and pediatric dental health, and wellness services. 12,000 men, women, and children from across Fairfield County entrust their healthcare to Norwalk Community Health Center.
